5.1: Reviewing Strengths and Weaknesses of my Sound Recording

Image
Strengths about my sounds in my film: First thing I liked is that the sound that was sourced from other media was easy to listen to as it is clear to understand and hear, the second thing is that the sound effects makes the scenes more better as it adds a lot of excitement then the sounds from the raw footage on it's own. The Sounds that I created are mostly what you hear in the raw footage such as voices for dialogue and some form of movement like footsteps etc. The Strengths of that is that just like the added and edited audio that I sourced from the web the audio recorded on it's own without the edits are still relevant and important as the dialogue is made for plot relevance and comedic purposes to entertain the audience. The Editing of the audio is well timed and makes the scenes more bearable to watch, the lack of edits could make the video less appealing to watch but thankfully there were plenty of edits such as; Adjusting the volume and Unlink...

4.1 Intergrating Diegetic and Non-Diegetic Sound Into A Video Project

Image
How I have Edited and put together sound into my project This post is an an explanation of how i edited my film project using Diegetic and Non-Diegetic sounds in my movie.   Importing Audio Using Youtube Mp3 Converter i used audio from a specific video, providing that the audio in the video that i have downloaded from are non-copyrighted or Royalty free. All i had to do was to highlight and copy a video's address and paste it in the youtube converter search bard to to download the files directly into I tunes.  Once I have done this, I opened I tunes and directly drag the sound from a folder and have made use of it in Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2019.   Merging and separating audio files    I have then placed the audio underneath the video file so it can play during the film, the audio that is already included in the raw footage of the video itself will still be linked with the audio, I have separated the audio from the video by right clicking the...

3.1 Create and Record Appropriate Sound Accomplishment for a Video Production

Image
How i would add and Record my sounds I used a Canon (Camera) and recorded Raw Footage with it, there was no mics attached to it so the sound quality isn't perfect, i have added and combined sounds together in my movie project (Rogue Humanity) and uploaded sounds from youtube videos (some are sci-fi/robotic sounds).  The sounds i used are non-copyrighted, otherwise it will violate the copyright law and the terms and conditions of the website i made sure that the sounds are free to use and that they are allowed for re-use. I used a Mac to download and use sound effects of the internet whilst being copyright free, then they are added into Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2019 . It is possible to record any sound effect by performing and creating them in front of a mic, this is one of the best ways to obtain and create sound without the use of copyright. For instance, using a boom mic whilst recording and when the weather is raining at the same time,  the sound recorded can be used as...

1.1 Identify the formats used when encoding video

Image
What are video encoding formats? Video encoding formats are many different methods of optimising digital video files for different platforms, programs and devices etc. There are many different methods of encoding video formats but each is composed into two main parts such as a Codec and a Container.       The Codec and container specifically stores uncompressed video input which is stored, transmitted and viewed. In Streaming it is important that the encoding format is compatible with the widest range of devices possible so that the stream is available to many users. Selecting the proper video format depends on three main factors: storage availability, quality of video output, and compatibility with different video players and programs. How does video encoding work? Video encoding is the process of turning uncompressed video input into a form that can be stored and played in media and such, for instance when before uploading a video to a website which is accessi...

4.1 Reviewing the Strengths and Weaknesses to my Project

My Strengths: The video itself personally, is certainly entertaining it's filled with comedic events whilst keeping it's serious tone at the same time. Visual wise, the green Screen and the other VFX is convincingly good. In the film i have collaborated and directed a group of people, overall i had used skills such as leadership, teamwork and patience to get the pre-production of the film made. Using editing skills that i learned during the course i have used adobe premiere pro and edited sounds and footage including VFX. i have even learned to download certain files from Youtube videos to add in my film but only if it is copyright or Royalty free.      My Weaknesses: There are some mistakes in the video (even in post production), one of them is that the green screen effect isn't perfect in some parts of the footage, the green screen have some lines that are not removed properly in the background, making the footage look less realistic.   Some parts of the audio like...

Exploring the differences between Diegetic and Non-Diegetic sounds

Image
Diegetic and Non Diegetic sounds  Diegetic sounds are unedited and it comes from the raw footage of a film on camera, it could also be recorded as an audio MP3 File. These types of audio is based on sounds that you record in real time rather then extracting them from websites or software etc.  In a film you can use these types of sounds whether when a Character speaks or when something sounds realistic and that the sounds are not exaggerated etc.  Non-Diegetic sounds do not came from the raw footage and they are added or edited in a film, for instance sound effects that are Non-Diegetic can be used for exaggerating moments like comic relief or sound that is just added in during editing before the final film.   Here is an example of the differences of between diegetic and non diegetic sound: Note: this example is sourced by Google. Video Examples: The opening of Star wars (1977) is an example of using non-diegetic soundtrack and text. It is produced by John Will...

LA: 3.1 Post Video Production

Image
Post Production/Video Editing     After the live footage is finished it is up to me for making edits on  Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2019,  it's an editing software installed on the Mac which allows me to make many visual and sound edits to make the movie look interesting, before i proceeded on to adding my footage i use a website to download MP3 Audio from Youtube, including Non-Diegetic Sound and music, the only thing i need to do before doing so is by making sure the audio isn't copyrighted in order to make fair use.   This is the link to the  website  that i use to get MP3 audio:  https://youtubetomp3music.com/en14/youtube-downloader. What are the editing tools that i use to make the effects work? Ultra Key:  Using the effects panel, there is an keying folder which holds a selection of different types of keying options, the option i used for the Green screen effect is the ultra Key Setting.  The option i Selected for the Green sc...

LA 2.1: Contribution in a Technical Capacity to the Creation of a Video Project

Reviewing my progress on Pre-Production Cast  What happened so far is that me and a group of people was working on some footage, with me as the director I have arranged and decided on the roles, as well as being behind the scenes I had to have an actor role as there were not enough people for all scenes so as well as directing I also participated on a role of an antagonist for the short movie I am working on: Rogue Humanity .     As for the Scriptwriting and dialogue there is a big difference as many bits of dialogue were improvised and some of it had a major changes whilst the plot still stayed relevant and the same. There were added bits of dialogue that made the scenes feel more like comical relief rather then just a normal confrontation, the scenes are funny but also pretty serious both at the same time. Roles People in the Cast: (Me) Benjamin: Both film Director and Robot Leader Kieran Turley: Props and Cameraman Kieron Thompson: College Student 01 Josh: Colleg...
