Individual Visual Effect Project 2.1 Planning and Filming,

What kind of effect is it?

The visual effect I am planning to make is a fire effect, as well as using visual effects I would like to create an orange based lighting that surrounds the fire effect, for example: in this image here, is how I want mine to turn out;

Using virtual effects I want to create fire, it should be an orange flame, with a glow right around it. there are different ways I can make this effect come to life. Like I said before I can use a virtual visual effect using computer software, including green screen etc. to add an orange glow I can either use: Three point lighting (adjusting the lighting to a certain brightness to make it look as the fire is creating a glowing effect near the subject, or using the effects option.

When would I like to use the effect?

There are many alternative ways for me to use the fire effect, for instance I can either use, a flamethrower effect, a fire burning a building, someone with supernatural fire powers or even a campfire place etc. Here are some examples:

Supernatural fire powers

and much more etc.

What equipment would I need?

1. A (PC) Computer or Macbook

2. Some editing software such as; Adobe Premiere Pro (2020) etc.

3. A Camera (like a Canon)

4. Green screen (to make the effect)

5. some lighting (for atmosphere)

6. You will need a cast of 1 or more actor(s) to perform the effect or experience it.

7. Optionally you can use props (costumes are not necessary).

8. You will need Batteries for the camera.

9. An SD card for the camera and the computer (32GB Min).

10. A USB for the computer (32GB Min). (Optional)

What location would I go to film my effect?

I could film outdoors in any location, but it would feel more risky and restricted due to the current situation of the pandemic, preferably I would film my effect in a studio with a green screen as the background, so that I can choose any location using images.

Update: The effect idea had changed into a teleportation effect instead since it was easier to perform then the fire visual effect.
